Lots of new things in the studio….. Among other things- I've been very interested in working with linen and quilting fabrics! I've been inspired by Japanese Zakka (crafts) made from linen and simple shapes such as bags, zippered pouches, pin cushions and needle booklets. I liked the needle booklets so much that I decided to make a couple for my daughters (who do not sew!) Everyone needs a basic sewing kit for mending on the fly. This one turned out very well I think. Crocheting an Afghan

Crochet Right Now I'm crocheting a afghan. Actually I'm working on two at the same time. Nothing unusual for me, since I am always working on at least 5 paintings, 3 sewing projects, countless pieces of jewelry and knitting ….well, you get the idea? This afghan is using the African flower pattern and the yarn is a cheap from Michaels - 100% acrylic, Loops and Threads in some very beautiful bright colors. The yarn is worsted weight and I am enjoying picking it up and putting it down a little every day. I am inspired to crochet by many bloggers, especially

The Little Fur Studio has not been very active in the sewing area lately. Too much painting going on! I haven't sold many of my dresses on Etsy so I closed the shop! I continue to love vintage fashion and still have many more outfits I want to tackle. Someday soon probably!
